White House prepares for an elegant evening

Washington (CNN) - President Obama will welcome Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for an official state visit Tuesday.

The two leaders will discuss a range of global, regional and bilateral issues, the White House said. Those discussions are likely to center on Afghanistan, climate change and nuclear energy cooperation. Singh has been quoted as saying that a Taliban victory in Afghanistan would be disastrous for Central and South Asia.

Singh's visit will be the first state visit hosted by the administration, the highest honor extended to a foreign dignitary. It will be Singh's second visit to Washington; he has also met with former President George W. Bush.

Some State Dinner I dont get to go and was not invited, but the american public ie the taxpayer has to flip the cost. Why should we have to pay for their State Dinner. he gets a Nice Salry of 400K+ a year and he pays no food bills or utilities at the White House for his family who was not elected. The middle class who has very little to eat, but pay their share of taxes will suffer this Holiday season. Makes sure the President of the United States and his family is well fed and has a warm bed to sleep in while the rest of the Taxpayers suffer like myself who I am a disabled veteran who's taxes on food to utilities has gone up.

"If the peasants have no bread, let them eat cake". Seems like someone a couple of centuries ago that could also be classified as a "liberal elite" said that. I believe the people really did not like what she said. I'm glad that someone is eating well.
