Gates in Afghanistan: 'We're in this thing to win'

Defense Secretary Robert Gates made an unannounced visit to Afghanistan Tuesday. He's there to assure our troops, "we're in this thing to win."

Secretary Gates arrived overnight – six days after President Obama announced he's sending in 30,000 reinforcements. The secretary is also there to reassure the Afghan president that America will not abandon him. Our Pentagon correspondent Barbara Starr has the report from Afghanistan.

The Afghan leader is useless when it comes to governing the nation and American forces are being goaded into increasing troops. The Taliban wish to remove larger numbers of troops in their attacks to further demoralize a nation at home. Current tactic show America is not in there to win but to lose and suffer heavier losses.

Government, Industry, Finance, Academic, Military, Media, Religion(spirituality+ethics) and the Peoples. Eight ingredients needed for a successful society yet have we seen that developed. Until then expect a new wave of very explosive attacks even within the United States itself.
The proper Diplomats are in the wings to stop it all but with bombs going off and bullets flying all over the place it can all go to hell in a hand basket for all we are concerned. We sit at a calm table or we do not sit at all and when we are standing it gets painful out there for each and every one involved in this global equation.

All this is really mild compared to what is about to be unleashed. Pandemic..think global body and not singular bodies..the body of humanity just caught a sniffle..that was all swine flu did this round..next round..woof woof..and the round after that..takes a while for an entire body of humanity to feel and suffer the affects of swine flu. Just a sniffle to give you an example of what is to come....how many died globally during that little sniffle CNN...WANT TO SEE WHAT A FULL BLOWN FLU LOOKS LIKE....REAL TIME REAL TIME ..LISTENING TO MUSIC AND SELDOM TURN ON CNN OF LATE....INCAPABLE OF REPORTING THE TRUTH AS TRUTH SHOULD BE REPORTED..STILL FAVORED..BUT YOUR LACKING EVIDENT. Will watch AM this morning to see how long before I have to change the channel.
