One of the purposes for the gas chamber is to build confidence in your mask, this is true but when you take the mask off and experience the effects of the CS gas, you realize this mask may save your ass one day, treat it well and live.

One of the purposes for the gas chamber is to build confidence in your mask. When you take the mask off and experience the effects of the CS gas, you realize how well the mask worked when you were in the same room with it on.
