Obama: No time to waste on climate change deal

Before his speech Obama canceled a ceremonial meeting with the Danish PM for an emergency climate meeting.

Copenhagen, Denmark (CNN) – Delegates at the U.N. Climate Change Conference are "running short on time" to reach agreement on a deal, U.S. President Barack Obama told them Friday.

"There is no time to waste," he said. "Now I believe it's the time for the nations and the people of the world to come behind a common purpose. We are ready to get this done today, but there has to be movement on all sides."

Obama sounded impatient with the progress of the two-week conference so far, saying the scope of climate change discussions over the years have produced little more than talk.

"These international discussions have essentially taken place now for almost two decades, and we have very little to show for it other than an increased acceleration of the climate change phenomenon," Obama said. "The time for talk is over." Read the full story »

I wonder when all the little individual gods will realize that we have nothing to do with the climate change of the earth. Mother nature is in charge of that and i think she is making her point on global warming with the winter storms all over the world. Just a scam to make money and the donkeys have made a lot.

As history has shown us, there are those who scream & shout fraud, fake, conspiracy when told of an unfolding issue. To illustrate a point: Jews being put to death in Nazi Camps, Joseph Stalin's reing of terror; more recently the Serbs slaughtering Muslims during the 90's ...

We have already seen the changes occuring on our planet, only the blind and mentally incapacitated & congenital idiots can not.

Out of all alternative forms of Energy on Earth & one that does not need to be stored – and for which one European company has numerous USPTO & Intl. Patents pending ...and working street ready models for on demand generators....

there is only one Source that makes up 90% of all atoms in the Universe, leaving the rest of the Elements to make up the remaining 10%, Answer is ...

    Hydrogen.

Global Warming is a fact. Big Oil is trying to confuse the public in their attempts to directly shift liability and blame stemming from its cause.

Just like Big Tobacco did previously, Big Oil is trying to shift blame and liability aware from its toxic spewing power plants and vehicles. The dots are being connected and Big Oil's liability to what is happening now in Africa, other nations and island people needs to be addressed in the European Court system that has real teeth against American Corporations abuses.

A remarkable alliance between the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and Nasa resulted in the Grace Mission.

The Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (Grace) mission consists of a pair of satellites which measures the Earth's gravity field. Specifically, the Grace Mission has recorded the tremendous loss of water in Africa, India, Greenland, The Polar Icecap and California.

As one spacecraft lurches and drags through the Earth's uneven gravity field, the second follows 210 km behind, measuring changes in their separation to the nearest micron (a thousandth of a millimetre).

It is the size of those changes detected by the twins that describes the nature and scale of the gravity anomalies – and consequently the changes in mass – over which they pass.

In the short span of 6 years, the Sacramento and San Joaquin River Basins which support the highly productive Central Valley have shed over 30 cubic km of water in that time.

In the short span of 6 years, India's fertile farming regions have lost about 109 cubic kilometers of water, more than double the capacity of India's largest reservoir is gone.

Africa has experienced a significant drying in the past three years. The volume of water lost from the land amounts to 334 cubic km, which is almost as much as all Africans have consumed over the period.

In regards to the fertile farms in California and India, the lack of adequate rain is forcing the farmers to pump ever more water from the water table which cannot sustain the volume being removed and is dropping lower each and every year.

In 1998 Nasa satellites detected a sudden reversal in the shrinking of the Earth's girth that has been going on since the last Ice Age. The cause was a sudden surge in polar ice melting which sent a huge movement of water towards the equator.

Obviously Nasa back in 1998 knew for a fact that Global Climatic Warming had occurred and yet made no public mention of that fact. Thru-out Bush jr's administration Bush-Cheney denounced that fact as unlikely 'theory's'.

Grace measured the loss of Greenland's massive glaciers when it first began its mission in 2002. Based on the previous figures, and comparing those to Grace's more recent survey, the figure is now 300% higher (melting 3x faster) in less than 5 years.

The remaining Greenland Glaciers are melting at a rate of about 58 cubic miles per year. If the ice cap were to completely disappear, global sea levels would rise by a whopping 21 feet.

When is this turkey going to spend some time in the USA taking care of things here. He is so fixated on impressing foreign leaders that he has forgotten about all of the losers that voted for him. If nothing else, it serves all those people right.

Unfortunately, Big Oil has more Republican lawmakers in their pocket than Big Pharma does.

The Republican lawmakers will obstruct, block and work to defeat any and all sweeping legislation to place a cap and trade on Big Oil's toxic fume spewing power plants, automobiles and practices.

Obama isn't big enough himself to get this done, America needs to elect more Democratic House and Senate members first.
