The 'new Thomas Edison'

Dean Kamen has been called the new Thomas Edison. He's invented more than four-hundred medical devices.

Our Dr. Sanjay Gupta recently traveled to Kamen's idea factory – his home in New England – to check out his latest innovations and to hear some interesting ideas about health care reform.

Program Note: Watch Sanjay Gupta MD, Saturday & Sunday at 7:30 a.m. ET on CNN.

Dr. Gupta's discusion healthcare with Dean Kamen on healthcare:

Inventor Dean Kamen should be aware of the billions of dollars that Obama's Recovery program is spending on research that is only putting money into the pockets of scientists, doctors, healthcare industries and pharmaceutical companies. Unfortunately, the tazpayer's who is providing the money is not at all receiving better quality healthcare, in fact-the resdearch is to protect the medical profession and the most corrupt and unethical of all--the pharmaceutical companies. If elected and appointed officals would govern with ethical values, accountability, respnsibility and integrity-all Americans would have the chance and choice for qualtiy of life..
