Casey Anthony trial to resume today after judge threatens attorneys

This morning, the defense team in the Casey Anthony trial will resume its case after a day of tense back and forth with the attorneys and Judge Belvin Perry.

On Monday, not a single witness was called to the stand and the jurors were never seated. Instead, the judge called a recess and proceeded to blast the attorneys on both sides, ordering them to stop their gamesmanship.

This morning, former federal prosecutor and "In Session" legal contributor Sunny Hostin joined Kiran Chetry and Carol Costello to explain why this experienced judge has been so forceful in this trial.

I was listening to the Casey Anthony trial this morning and the testimony of Dr. Brock. When the program went to your hosts for recap one host made a description of "old and out of touch with reality" about Dr. Brock. I'm over 60, a retired R.N., having graduated with my nursing degree in 1978. My nursing experience is mainly in surgery. I guess now I'm considered old and out of touch with reality. I don't think so. The young and old are being presented as not being credible. So, I guess only middleage people count. Interesting! How does an attorney become an experienced murder trial attorney without their first case? The only host I've come to respect in their comments and opinion of how the evidence is presented is Beth Karas. The opinion that older people are not believable or out of touch and young people are inexperienced can be true, but, this is about a little 2 year old girl, not us. I know you make your living as entertainers now, but, insults and putdowns will not get us to truth, if the truth is possible. Ms. Karas should be the main host and planner of rspectful reporting for this case ( my opinion) . She does it with class and I believer her. Not so with the others.. Let's show respect for each other.
