This afternoon – President Obama makes the pitch for his 3.6 trillion dollar budget to Senate Democrats. Its a tough sell – a lot of top Democrats are worried the new budget could add seven to nine trillion dollars in new debt.
The crew of the Space Shuttle Discovery is preparing to depart the International Space Station. Discovery scheduled to undock from the space station at 3:53 ET this afternoon. It will perform the traditional fly-around of the station before heading home. Discovery will return to Earth on Saturday.
Cycling legend Lance Armstrong is expected to undergo surgery at 7 o'clock CT on his broken collarbone. Armstrong said in a Twitter post last night that the injury was more serious than doctors first thought. He says tests showed multiple pieces of broken bone. Armstrong crashed Monday during a race in Spain. The seven-time Tour de France winner plans to get back on the bike by May.

my wife and i lost our home and rental properties because of a sub prime mortgage . it started with ameriquest mortgage company after years of vacancies about 60% out of 13 rental units repairs and lost rent money we loans with ameriquest mortgage co.for tow years things seemed better although more lost jobs and vacancies we still were able to meet financial obligation with the help of my wiefs income . then the adjustments started every 6 mos. payments were not being applied to right mortgage after several attemps and a lot of time spent on uless phones . we were paid a head on one mortgage and behind on the other same time we were trying to get it all strightened out the name of ameriquest changed we were still trying to get the payments strightened out the name changed again i know to beleve yes and my woeks a law office then the payments go up we can not get no responce from the attorney .

I listen, and, some how my wee pitiful mind cannot understand how spending all this money is going to help the economy.
Most of this was GW failed policy of going to war. Deficiet went nutz, dollar dropped. Deregulation of Banks went uncontrolled. Credit cards went to people like popcorn. People were charged such exhorbitant rates and fines, that they just gave up paying them. Gasoline went through the roof through speculations. ALL HARMING US ALL. Find these people and prosecute and make them pay back all proceeds.
Now, some ecoomists state that spending more money is THE GREAT CURE?
I would say that anything GW bush and his cronies did should be reversed. ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING gw did.. ENDING THE WAR IN IRAQ AND PAKISTAN. END GLOBAL free TRADE AND the subsidies that went rampant supporting companies that outsourced.
Build a big damn wall to eliminate drug trade with Mexico. Pay off the deficiet with import taxation. We could pay off the deficiet with just taxing cell phones. SUBISDIZE ONLY MADE IN AMERICA COMPANIES. TAX ALL IMPORT MANUFACTORING PARTS COMING INTO AMERICA.
Bailing out crooks like AIG is just adding to the problem. Rewrite to smaller companies. Boycott anything AIG.
Have them liquidate all assets of corporate bigges to pay off all the lost 401k they stole. prosecute .

Just listened to the discussion on Obama's speech. Ron Chrisyie is the typical selfish, close minded, Republican before American type that lost the election last year. He doesn't even believe the trash he says. It would be refreshing to see an American Republican for once, I know they are out there somewhere.
Basically he is a waste of time and I hope a more open minded and honest expert will be offered in the future.
The govt. as given billions and billions to compnanies here and overseas , companies that created this mess! Billions to people in the form of bonuses . these people are corrupt and put us in this situation . People have lost their jobs, homes ,retirement plans everything ! My unemployment check is going up a whole 25$ , I can't even fill my gas tank with that , the same people that stole the money are saying that people like me are not responsible because we can't pay our mortgage . This is wrong so very wrong and now their going to give wall street pigs a deal of a life to time to buy toxic assests , the excuse is we need to do this like we need to bail out aig or else , it's disgusting ! the govt. should have sent the billions they squandered on wall st directly to the people that would have stimulated the economy more than sending it to these bastards at the banks and wall st ! This is wrong and their is no escaping what is coming now
