    Simple fix to economy.
Eliminate the "income" tax. Let the gov't get their money from a "national sales" tax.
We keep all the money we earn, save, invest.
We have more to spend. When we buy, manufacturers need to produce more. They hire. More people earn money to spend.
The income tax is a punishment for working!

There are many ideas out here in the real world about fixing our economy. Many variations of give us the people the money watch us set our economy right. One surfaced recently in the St. Pete Times. Give the 40 million people over 50 one million dollars with 3 strings attached. Retire (millions of job openings), buy a new American made car (auto industry fixed), pay off mortgage or buy new home (housing crises fixed). Plus all that money back in the retail. Why the over 50, they are the ones who have lost the most and with least amount of time to recover for retirement. So simple that the Washington elite can not see what is in front of their face. We would not need watchdogs. Even though it was promised to fix the economy from the bottom up we will never see it. Too much of Washington elite is in the back pockets of the top. Trickle down just does not work. Angry you betcha. I will exercise my right to enforce term limits next election.

SHAME ON I.B.M !!! It is irresponsible for an American company to take our jobs and ship them to INDIA. Our government has to impose a tax on these money gurbing fools. Where is this companies loyalty to the United States? Is their board of directors really such SLUGS? IF YOU OWN IBM STOCK SELL IT. PUT THESE CLOWNS INN THEIR PLACE WHERE IT WILL HURT THE MOST.

The government should reward Ford for refusing bailout money, help working American families save money on gas, and reduce our dependency on foreign oil.
    How?
Instead of giving 3 trillion dollars of our money to companies who make wrong decisions, the government should buy 25 million Ford Hybrid Fusions and give them to working American families.
Ford would have to hire to produce these cars.
Working families would save money on gas.
Th US would need less oil from foreign countries.

Legalize drugs to end the drug wars.
    We don't have "cigarette" wars!
We don't have "alcohol" wars. (we did when it was illegal)
Why is marijuana illegal, when cigarettes, alcohol and gambling are legal?

With the United States in dire economic straights. Has that slowed down illegal immigration? Are there any statistics for this? Are there some of "those jobs" now that Americans wish they had back?

When John Roberts was discussing President Obama's Town Hall Meeting this mornng he said "the marijuana lobby is on board or something to that effect". I don't appreciate his remarks. I happen to be a 74 year old senior who is very interested in politics and the computer age. Just because we want to have a chat with Obama on the computer doesn't mean we are smoking something. I tuned out Joe Scarborough because he was talking stupid. An now I will tune out your John Roberts. He is definitely a Republican!!!
