This was the silliest story I ever listened to on CNN. You are trying to tell me people are depressed because they are saving instead of spending? What a crock!

If there are people out there that are really suffering from that sort of mentality, I suggest they need medical help of the mental sort instead of going on a spending spree.

This country has really got to refocus on what is important and not what brings INSTANT gratification. Spending is instant gratification and saving is setting a goal for a future purchase or lifestyle. What is wrong with having goals?

This is just another way for the government to convince people they need to spend spend spend to save their crooked butts in Washington because of this horrible economy and taxpayer bailouts. Maybe if those companies had saved more, they would not be spending my money for me!
