Talk radio's Michael Savage on AM
Conservative and often controversial talk radio show Michael Savage is planning to file suit against Britain's Home Secretary Jacqui Smith after she added him to a list banning his entrance into the U.K. for allegedy fostering extremism or hatred. The list also includes a white supremacist and a member of Hamas. Read more
Smith said that the radio host was “someone who has fallen into the category of fomenting hatred, of such extreme views and expressing them in such a way that it is actually likely to cause inter-community tension or even violence if that person were allowed into the country.”
I spoke with Savage earlier today about the issue. He calls the ban an outrage and is planning to fight back.
I also challenged him about some of the things he's said about Islam, homosexuality and illegal immigration.

It's nice to see some intellectual intelligence vs. emotional intelligence – SAVAGE ROCKS!!! Accusing one of being "racist" is used by those who cannot engage in reasonable dialogue.

Newjersey Holyshadow I was on Twitter.com and could not have the freedom to write notes or anything unlike facebook or blackplanet or myspace. When I deleted my account ,they use this mark(!) to tell me bye. ((VERY RUDE))!! I ADVISE people to stick with other sites than Twitter.com. Praise God for freedom!!! I TRIED EVERY THING TO write to different people and I been on Twitter for almost 3 months and it is just hard to figure out. But it is not cool to tell people who leave them to say BYE! This is not right to people who might choose to come back. And since famous people like CNN.COM uses Twitter.com,I needed to point this out. Plus,I am a man of the cloth ((God)).

If anyone has ever heard the evil words or ideas put forth by this man, you would know why the U.K has banned this man. As an african/ american and muslim I have felt the sting of his words on the radio. Also a word of truth to Mr. Savage about the 90% of terrorist are muslims. What about Timothy Mcvay, skinheads,kkk, etc. These groups claim to be christian. But in no way should one blend the religion with the actions of these people who use religion to fuel their hate. No these people just hate. Just like Mr. Savage.
I have not one racist bone in my body! Most people would laugh at that statement, knowing me! I have alot of friends who are of different races, and they also agree! The "racism" as you call it, is caused by our country not proteting our borders. PERIOD! There is a huge difference between racism and reality! When they make it across the border and do more harm on our soil, then tell me that! And no... it should just be ok to spout off racial comment about us white honkey trash! We are the ones being racially abused! We have become the minorities these days, with not as many rights as the rest!
I do agree with you about one thing however! Its not hatred! Its immoral! BUT, days are now numbered! God will soon wipe this world of the wickedness in which it has become, and the righteous will reside and live on the earth...forever! I'm disgusted by the interview and the man himself. He brushed off his insensitive and highly offensive comments as jokes. He's said many times that gay people should die of AIDS and worse. Frankly, I'm disappointed in CNN for even doing this story...it's weeks old and frankly there are better things, and better people to talk about.

What it comes down to is that Michael Savage is not a British citizen, and he has no entitlement to enter the UK. For him, it's a privilege.
They don't care for his opinions, and unfortunately his first amendment rights do not extend beyond our borders.
I believe that England just does not want its citizens to be educated on the reality of world news! I also believe that the country of England should add to its "list" the names of just about EVERY American!!! Most everyone in this country agrees with what these people are saying. Its news! Our people has the right to know, just as thiers should! I also believe that America will be the next country to strip Americans out of its Freedom of Speech. Its not hate! Its an exhaustion of efforts to protect our country, while knowing that our country protects those who harm us Americans. Heck...Look at the Latinos!!
