The company I work for has an ambulance that we have no use for. It's old, but has low mileage and ran just fine when we last started it. We would be interested in donating it to the Afghan people. Who do we contact?
Please pass this message along to Chief Zbikowski, and Kevin Paicos, at Ashburnham Mass. F.D. *thanks for covering this Jason*
Hats off to both of you, and your people. I had the same idea, three years ago, yet was told NO CAN DO, for liability reasons. I had seen a news piece where a USArmy official had donated a unit to Afghan elders. It was said that the townspeople were applauding the troops as they walked away, down the dusty road.
I'm a medic in the Toronto, Canada area. Please contact me asap. I will put your mission in front of every EMS group and Autoworkers Union in Canada, to assist you guys. Wonderful job Chief, and Kevin.
PS any idea how we can bring some of their country's Midwives back here to train better, and send them packing with a plane load of gear??
