"Since World War II, only Gerald Ford and Bill Clinton have had worse ratings after seven months than President Obama."
-Newt Gingrich on Sunday, August 30th, 2009 in an op-ed in The Washington Post
The Truth-O-Meter says: TRUE

Obama is an intelligent man. He will find a way to get what he wants.
As for having the worst ratings he just inherited the worst recession, two wars, and trying to overhaul health care. People need to have more patience. If there is anyone out there who can do better Mr. Gingrich where is he? Certainly not you. And Mr. Greer you need a vacation!!!!! You're nuts.
Rufus Cannon – Thanks for the truth
I think the current US system does not allow enough opinions and positions within Washington. Everything is squeezed into a DEM or a REPUG point of view. I would love to see a Parliamentary type of system so that everyone can have a real voice in DC and we can stop allowing the minority REPUGS act like THUGS trying to make everything a referendum on Obama. The issues are much more complex than that!
Thank you Mr Gaither for typing my thoughts exactly, the Republicans and friends are still in campaign mood to prove President Obama is not good enough so people will dismiss what he is trying to do for all of us.
As long as the GOP has spokes people like Jim Greer they will go no where with the American people . The Gop doesnt care about the American people only defeating President Obama . This is so sad . Wake up ............the American people are smarter than that .The GOP dosnt care about health care just stopping Obama from succeding .I have been a life long republican untill G.W. Bush ruined this country . I am now behind anyone who can save this country .The republicans need to stop playing with Americas future and work together .
With Guys Like Grassley, I Think Congress Will or Can Come-Up With a Good One, Not Necessarily a "RIGHT Connotation One!"
As usual the GOP looks like idiots. They are just a bunch of cazy old white men
Gingrich is rarely correct. However, the only reasons that I can see that President Obama's polls are lower than most other presidents is due to a few obvious items that he has no control over. I knowm unfortunately, several people who hate him because of his dark skin. He could be the greatest president and they would still be against him.. Then alll of the conservative pundits are telling lies and half-truths about him and what he is trying to accomplish. Unforturnately the average American beleives the worst that they hear about people, especially if they see it on TV or read it in a News Paper. Another reason is that he is trying to hard to be too inclusive. The average republican in Congress will resist anything that this president is working for. No matter how badly we need it.
It is time for him to gather the democrats and tell them what he wants in a healthcare package and demand that they move without the republicans and pass it, or face major losses in the next election.
