What’s on Tap – Wednesday September 16th, 2009

Here are the big stories on the agenda today:

  • There's new information this morning on the man in custody in the case of the murdered Yale grad student, found hidden in a wall on her wedding day.  We're awaiting DNA tests from the person of interest, Raymond Clark.  We'll go live to New Haven for the latest.
  • And former President Jimmy Carter is saying race played a role in the "you lie" outburst during President Obama's speech last week.  Carter said he thinks "an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man."  Today, we're giving you a chance to weigh in on that explosive charge.
  • And the swine flu vaccine gets the green light.  The Food and Drug Administration just approved two versions that should be available next month, one a shot, one a nasal spray.  Is it safe for expecting moms?  They’re on top of the priority list for a number of reasons. Our Elizabeth Cohen is with one of the first pregnant women to get the vaccine, this morning.
  • And forget that Roger Federer lost in an upset in the U.S. Open men's final.  The dominating headline from the grand-slam tournament was, and is still the profanity-laced outburst by Serena Williams.  But Williams says she was in the moment and doesn't even remember what happened.  And now that's she's apologized, she just wants to move on.  Serena Williams will join us live to talk all about this, her new book and a whole lot more!

When will CNN do a story on Joe wilson belonging to the Sons of the Confederacy? Will it be story after the one about him voting to pay for healthcare for illegal immigrants?

Wilson should be banned from the house for one month you people are playing around with the future of your country. It can clearly be seen that whats happening in the US is RACISM. Wilson is racist, look at it from my perspective. Wilson thinks I am not going to apologize I am only saying this because I was told to. However from my perspective he is like an illiterate child image a child saying to a debt collector (his mother is at home the debt collector at the door) my mom said to say to you she is not at home. Kinda dumb isn't it that's how Wilson sounds dumb and uneducated he does not deserve a vote from the public. CNN and all media houses think you are raising your ratings, unfortunately you are airing too much of your dirty lining in pubic, to the world stage you are degrading yourselves. I love your country more than you it seems as you are continuing down a destructive path. Again stop before you lose your world leader status. The bible will come true you will fall but It will be your own undoing. I DO NOT WISH TO SEE YOU FALL!!!!!!

I Have to Agree. Jimmie Carter has Really "Nailed" This One About Racism With "A Crashin' Blow From the "Huge Hammer of Eyes Wide Open True + Fair Judgment!"

I would like to know why CNN is choosing not to report on the scandal concerning ACORN. ACORN has received $53 million in taxpayer money since 1994. They are reportedly poised to receive billions more from the stimulus bill. It has been shown on 4 different occasions in 4 different cities that they are willing to advise people on tax evasion and how to set up brothels for underage illegal girls. How is this not a story? My hard earned money is going to fund a corrupt and sleazy organization. Even the US Senate has taken notice of this and voted 83-7 to cut off their funding. Something like this should transcend any political and social views you may have. This is not about right vs left, republican vs democrat. This is about right vs wrong and ACORN is clearly in the wrong. I used to view your news organization as a reputable one. Now I am not so sure.

Even in Grades School; on the Playground, in the Halls + in the Classroom; There's has Always Been the Guy Who Makes Points by Sacrificing Himself Up for Favor, Providing it is Captured in the Limelight of National-International News. The Apology is Not Just an Add On but a Actual Integral Part of the "Simple Sinister Side-Show."

President Obama Seems to "Always" Play What Seems to "Always" Turn Out to Be the Right Smart Play, after All Have Had Their Say.

When is the Last Time When We've had a President that Could Even Come Close to Just Being Able to Talk?
