U.S. terror suspect indicted on bomb conspiracy charge

NEW YORK (CNN) - A Colorado man arrested in a U.S. terror probe has been indicted on a charge of conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction - explosive bombs - against persons or property in the United States, the Justice Department said Thursday.

A federal grand jury in the Eastern District of New York on Wednesday returned a one-count indictment against Najibullah Zazi, 24, of Aurora, Colorado - a Denver suburb.

The Justice Department said FBI agents in Colorado first arrested Zazi on Saturday in a criminal complaint that said he "knowingly and willfully" made false statements to the FBI involving international and domestic terrorism.

In addition, others arrested included Zazi's father - Mohammed Wali Zazi, 53, also from suburban Denver, and Ahmad Wais Afzali, 37, a Muslim cleric and funeral director from Queens, New York.

All three - arrested in what the Justice Department has said was a plot to detonate bombs in the United States - were charged with lying to federal agents during the probe of the alleged plot.

We've seen this before! The FBI using two patsies, one in Dallas and one in Missouri, with almost the exact M.O. If you investigate this, you will find they were probaly trained by intelligence then unleashed with full surveillance the whole time. This makes Homeland Security viable and is good propaganda! Get ready, your shadow government is planning another big attack in order too set up a complete domestic terror force against the citizens. This is the only way to join global citizenship they obama loves so much. North American Union, here we come! Good luck NWO!!!!

Mike: In reading your comment I am trying to figure out if you are defending this whack job or just trying to bash CNN? WMD's, Bombs, etc., who cares what you call them. These brainwashed, sub-humans, would be happy to try and kill all of us!

John Roberts referred to Zazi's purchase of $36 worth of hydrogen-peroxide as part of an effort to carry out a Weapon of Mass Destruction attack.

Couldsomeone please explain to me and your listeners when a bomb ceases to be a bomb and becomes a weapon of Mass Destruction.

WMD's have always implied something like Nuclear weapons or virulent biological weapons , although America did expand the definition in the lead up to the Iraq war to cover almost anything that did or did not explode.

Was Mr Roberts' use of the term WMD to describe home-made chemical explosives deliberate, a mistatement brought on by lack of sleep or the usual CNN hyperbole and inaccuracy- (even propaganda)
