The Police: What really happened?

By John Roberts

They were legendary for their music in the eighties, but members of The Police had some fierce battles behind the scenes.

I first interviewed drummer Stewart Copeland in 1980 just as the problems were coming to a head. I caught up with him again yesterday to talk about his new book "strange Things Happen: A Life with The Police, Polo and Pygmies."

The Police did anyone know that there was a special edition print when this record originally came out for it's first pressing most people see the colors on the album has Blue, Yellow and Red.
When working for Record Factory I opened up a box of twenty five and found my copy it was Bronze, Silver & Gold.

Conflict can indeed be the driving force of creativity, now , if we can just get Stewart and Sting to go a few more rounds all of us Police fans would be very happy. But remember fellas, we are all a bit older now, so ,stretch, warm up good, then get to the smackdown and give us some more music, please. Police fan since '77!!!!!

Most people who use guns in crimes have already lost their right to bear arms. To take away law abiding citizens right to bear arms would do little to stop criminals from using guns in crimes. This country would still belong to England if it weren't for our right to bear arms.
