Don of Ohio's comments are, for me, the real problem in this whole mess. Premimiums are outrageous and constantly going up. Especially as you get older! And YES, they will dump you in a heartbeat when you get older and need medical care!

Well, I think in the end, when the bill comes back from conference, there will be a government plan in there that’s pretty much fixed and will essentially be used as a way to control the market and control prices and thus inevitably lead to some sort of delays and rationing and to forcing other insurance products out of the market because it’ll be able to underprice using the power of the government and using price controls, essentially, just as they do in England, where you essentially have price controls and therefore, delay and rationing.
    I think that’s the inevitable — that’s the plan.
No one in congress cares what the people actually think.

The Insurance Companies have taken Premiums from healthy People for years and when some of them would get seriously Ill they would get cut off, "Cull the herd in interest of profits"They have done this for years and will continue to do so if something does not change, You ask WHY so many people call for a Public Option? You cannot pay premiums of $800-$900 a month when you make only $1,500, You try to live off what is left!!
