Palin remains a GOP player

From Candy Crowley, CNN Senior Political Correspondent

Washington (CNN) – She was a high-voltage candidate, lighting a fire in the grassroots of Republican-land – fresh, folksy and fierce.

She famously belittled her party's presidential opponent, Barack Obama, at her coming-out party at the 2008 Republican National Convention:

"I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a community organizer, except that you have actual responsibilities."

Sarah Palin remains a force - the most recognizable name in the Republican Party, a headline magnet.

Just over a year after the defeat of the Republican ticket, the Republican No. 2 is Amazon.com's No. 1 in non-fiction pre-sales.

Writer of books, giver of speeches, muser of politics on an unusually active Facebook account. And robo-caller on behalf of a conservative group in this year's Virginia governor's race.

A recent CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll found 85 percent of Republicans say Palin agrees with them on their most important issues. But only 49 percent of independents feel that way.

It's a telling measure of her political reach - and its limits - that the Republicans who won governor seats in Virginia and New Jersey this year politely rejected Palin's offers to campaign for them.

She has political ambitions. She has learned by master BUSH. Play down expectations, talk in short sentences and people will vote for you.
Substance in her campaign. Have we not learn that she is all talk, no idea how things really operate. A person who did not know about status of her own family, you expect her to know the status of the country?

It continues to amaze me beyond beleif that people defend and even support this "woman". She is a disgrace to all those "WORKING" women that have succeeded in their goals. What a joke!

America does not need Sarah Palin, but insecure Americans do. She feeds into their paranoia and delusion. Through crafty and folksy chatter, she sells here snake oils. In America we like underdogs and she's convinced the insecure that she is one... yet when the star-shine fades and the facts are presented, those insecure Americans will find she's not all that bright.

Obama doesn’t even have 49% of the independents right now.

49% for Palin is a good number 3 years out considering that the “Obama Loving Media” has bashed her non-stop for 15 months.

Everything Palin said in her convention speech about this inexperience one month senator has come true. And then CNN brings in the hating Palin scumbag Frum to call her a celebrity. How in the world do you think Obama got elected? He was a one month community organizer senator who voted present and a celebrity. Obama got elected because he is “A CELEBRITY.”

Do you think Obama would have survived 15 months of bashing and trashing?

Gov. Palin had accomplished everything she promised Alaskans in 2 years. Gov. Palin is going to roll through those 2010 elections and you scums are going to wish you had left her along in Alaska. What am I talking about; you have been wishing that for months.

As far as Palin splitting the vote in NY23. The vote was already split between Dede and Hoff and the democrat was going to win. A message was sent to NY23, no more democrats on our ticket. They have their own party.

I am glad to see that the Obama Loving media is finally coming around to seeing that Gov. Palin didn’t become governor of a state run by corrupt republicans and democrats because she was stupid. Gov. Palin accomplished everything she said she would in 2 years as governor of Alaska.

If you can’t attack someone on their record then you do the next best thing by calling them names.

    Journalism is dead!

This lady is going places inspite of your "coming Out idiotic comments.
She is a genuine American with appeal accross the nation. Unlike the community organizer and his empty promises, she did in fact have real responsibilites to run the state of Alaska. Obama continues to make America a socialist nation. Is that really what you want??

Why is such an ugly person in our faces continuously? We deserve better than the Alaskan Air Head. What is that space between her bony fingers?
Perhaps it is signaling the know nothing between her ears.
