Troops need $4,000 for bus trip home for the holidays

Troops preparing to serve this country in Iraq need your help so they can make it back home for the holidays.

A squadron of the Tennessee National Guard training in Mississippi is eligible to return home next week, but there's a snag.

They still need $4,000 for the buses after the money fell through last week.

If you'd like to help, the squadron has a Facebook page.

I apologize. Stephen King donated $12,999 so that soldiers from Maine could get home. Seems like our govt. can't do anything for it's own people but can send obama and his ilk traveling all over the world. How much time has he REALLY spent here in the US? It looks like all that he was looking for was a taxpayer funded around the world in 4 years trip.

Anchor Trailways & Tours, a DOD certified motorcoach operator out of Nashville, Tennessee who works with the military to transport our troops, will be donating three coaches and drivers to bring these men and women home for the holidays at NO charge to the military or their families. Anchor Trailways & Tours is very pleased to make it possible for these families to be together for the holidays.

I am not surprised. The gov is quick to ship our troops out knowing they may not come back but too cheap to help with them get home. Disgusting

If nothing else, you'd think the state of Tennesee's congress men & women and the Governor could pony up the money. It's a disgrace!

Thank you Mr. King. The $12,999 was appropriate. You have a lot more class than our current president wannabe!!

    Good grief,

America, can lend out millions in tarp money to crooked banks for political gain,

Yet.. the bus money for our troops to go home for just 4K failed through.

My GOD, American government can't come up with 4K?

I just saw the news cast on CNN.

I'm sure they will get the funds needed so they can go home for Christmas.

However, we should not have to air the military laundry to the public for the right thing to be done.

What an embarrassment this should be for our Military and representatives.

I mean, if I was wealthy enough that would be a no brainer.

These men are heading to IRAQ for two years and some may be killed and our military can't come up with just 4K come-on

That just pisses me off to no end.
