Cold streak could set record in south Florida

   i always said global warming is a farce. south florida is freezing right now...having the normal emps this time of year that belong in the mid atlantic regoin
   10,000 years ago Greenland was green....all year round. That was how it got its name.
   also, why is ireland pretty much 50 all year round????because of the jet stream. it comes the florida coast, slowly flows east off the U.S. and then veers to the east. Occasionally the north east, such as philadelphia and new york have a warm streak in the winter (60, 70's). but farther west in pittsburgh is still cold as ice. this is because the jet stream was a little slow veering to the east. global warming is a farce.

   Susan...obviously you've looked into this global warmiing extensively....therefore I'm sure you are aware that newspaper articles from the early 1900's wrote about huge meltdowns of arctic glaziers and a warming trend in the arctic that led them to think the planet was warming then.....I'm sure that you are also aware that National Geographic ran articles relating to the mith that global warming was happening on Mars at the same time it was happening here on earth...how can that be since as far as we know nobody lives there...and that Mars, as has earth for over the past decade, been cooling??? Well turns out it a a cyclical sun flare situation that caused both planets too warm up and then cool down at the same time....no doubt you are also aware that ice core samples taken at both north and south poles, that go back millions of years, predating mans existance, show up with the same and in some cases more CO2 in the air....how can that be since you weren't there to pollute???? This has happened many times in earth history. It will happen again when mankind is long gone.....the problem is that people like Gore are using this BS to set themselves up in business to sell CO2 certificates, and make billions of dollars at youor expense in the increased cost of power and energy you will pay for.....

   It was your friend Al Gore that made the statement on TV in an interview that the earths core was a million degrees.....if he believes that then I guess the rest of his BS is spot on as well....you just keep buying into, he'll be glad that you did......

   Good morning guys

   It amazes me how forgetful people are. Last year the west was ablaze. Triple digit temperatures for much of the western half of the country. Heat braking temperatures all the way to Alaska. Global warming to say, really had it's affect during the eighties and nineties. Now the change, that is Climate Change is taking over.

   It's the battle between extremes. As cold and snowy this winter is, the opposite will be for the summer. Then watch and listen to people cry about the heat.

   its simply an arctic fluctuation we are enduring at the moment for 10 days or so which means that for every place thats colder than usual there is one warmer than usual in the world. The overall warming changes sadly are still continuing and that means that fluctuations of all kinds will get wilder.

   Your lack of understanding is profound. Let's assume your last class in any physical sciences, let alone in any advanced sciences, was in elementary school. Thus, you know NOT of what you write.

   The core temperature of the center of the planet is irrelevant to what's presently happening with global warming. Educate yourself first, then you might get some respect for your opinions. Or may I suggest you watch the TV program "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" on FOX, since this is where you probably pick up what miniscule knowledge you presently possess.

   It's about disruption. Many places and people will tell you their climate has changed. when the ice melts and there is more earth visible, it will get warmer and warmer. Many of us will be dead by then and won't care, but our grandchildren will. Ask people in the Arctic and in Australia and they'll tell you something is going on. Did we really think we could drive all those cars and not pay for it?

   We are a gullible lot as a nation.

   Al Gore is practically a billionaire, investing in and forming companies galore to curb Global Warming – used to think he didn't have much between his ears, but now realize that someone (probably not him) has guided him along this profitable whim.

   Agree – term limits for all these crooks in Washington and a contract whereby once you hold public office you cannot hold a lobbyist position.

   Oh, and why can't Obama get on with this miscommunication failure – it took him a week to see it and now he seems to think he is the only one that caught it!

   No, Republications are no better – not a one of them.

   We need new blood and a new party to get things done in Washington.

   This good ole boys/girls club has got to go.

   God bless Florida – may it not be as bad as predicted.
