Where health care bills stand now

With the holiday rush and an attempted terror attack dominating the headlines, health care has taken a back seat. But there is still a lot of work to be done – work that was supposed to be finished by now.

Senators now have to merge their bill with one passed by the House, and the president says he'll be "hands-on" in the process. Our Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta breaks it all down for you.

Dear Dr. Gupta: Regarding your piece on Vitamin D, I have a word for you to research: solarium. No hospital was without one, no patient so sick they were not taken to the 'sun' room every single day to hasten their recovery. As a lifetime asthmatic, my grandmother marched me outside, wheezing, crying and wrapped up, to sit in the sun for 15 minutes no matter how I protested. Her rule: 15 minutes of sun every day. Think of it as a free miracle drug without the kickbacks to big pharm or extra charges on the hospital bill. The answers often are quite simple.

I remember when it was "yes we can" but that has definately changed to "yes you will". We are on the track to be a bankrupt and socolist country. Thank the democrats and thank you CNN for carrying the politically correct message.

bailing out insurance companies is not tiring – but pretending they care about our health instead of insurance corpse [sic] is exhausting.
