Bayh says he's fed up with Congress

First, he was a popular Democratic governor in a red state. And then a popular two-term senator in D.C.

But now, Indiana Democratic Senator Evan Bayh says he's done with Congress. Is it really so bad inside the Beltway that it's worth leaving office?

We figured the best person to ask is Sen. Bayh himself. He joined us live on Tuesday's American Morning.

At least he see's the problem....and admits it. Maybe he could lend some leadership to the Tea Party....

Bayh just pulled a Palin move.... Shall I wait for the book? Why does this surprise us? He was just part of the problem in Washington... If you can't suck it up and do what is right for the country, than yes get the hell out. Of course, if there is other forces, such as a special interest group that influences you, you might want to take the high road.
There comes a point when all the compromising in the world (health care reform)is not going to make a difference. This is what most intelligent people are ticked at, nothing is getting done because of this 1st grade mentality. The Democrats need to say, enough is enough and get it done!!! Suck it up, and work with your party, not against it. Compromises have been done, so get on with it!!! CALL THEM OUT!!!

The beauty of American Democracy is that the people get to elect their own representatives to Congress. So it follows that a broken Congress accurately reflects America. It is America that is broken or at best is in the process of breaking.

Look East ,young man, look East.

Extreme use of the filibuster is a real problem right now, as are Reid & Pelosi.
It would appear the GOP is taking firm action on Rush's "I hope he fails" decree.

Centrist politicians, like Bayh, can't seem to stand out between the fringes.

Congress needs a two-term limit, just like the President. Good for Sen. Bayh. He is showing leadership. Get in line, Congress. Follow him out the door.

Go home. Take a break. Come back later if you wish another two terms. Byrd, Reid, Dodd, and dozens more, have been there far too long. Congress is not a career path or a retirement home.

A two-term limit will end much of the corruption that is Congress. They won't have time to become pawns of special interests.
