I am so glad my forefathers moved here in the 1870's! I feel so blessed to be here. I love it!!

Tom, you're an idiot. Have you spent any time in Austin, have a clue what it's all about or why it's experiencing the economic success that it is? I suggest you remove your head from your rear end and wake up to the model that the best city in America is setting.
That being Austin...
Consider your break given...

I too am doing my part by educating in the green economy. This is one of the biggest areas that is not really addressed. Consumers need to know about which energy upgrades can result in value for their homes. Mortgage and real estate professionals need green education and information on energy mortgage products and how to help homeowners know the resources available to them.

Yes, it's true, we have not felt the impact as much as other places in the US have...I think that can be said about Texas as a whole, that being said; please people, don't move here unless you were born here.

This was possibly the dumbest story I have seen in a long time. Austin is thriving in tough times! We should use this as a blueprint for our towns.
Okay, so there are three things your town needs to do right now: 1) have one of the largest universities in the nation move to your town, 2) move the capital city of the state to your town, and 3) give fishy tax breaks to businesses that may or may not pay off for your government.
Wow, all of the towns in America can do that tomorrow. Give me a break.
