An internal company document that just surfaced shows Toyota patted itself on the back for saving millions instead of facing its "sudden acceleration" problem head on.
A Toyota executive boasted of saving $100 million by negotiating a limited recall for Toyota Camry and Lexus ES cars over a problem that could cause unintended acceleration. Our Allan Chernoff has the report.

First off I have no love of the auto industry in general, but I believe a little level headed look at the facts is in order.
1) The Toyota memo is not gloating, most companies have similiar "wins" for the company memos. The question is did Toyota take appropriate action with respect to the severity and number of potential flaws?
2) The alluded to other documents and Toyota knowing is not supported by any facts presented in this report. Only the reporter stated alligations.
CNN has an obligation to state the facts, not make determination or hype the story for their own personal gain.
Opinions are just that and should be presented as such – editorial.
Now if indeed Toyota is proven to have had previous knowledge of this and other problems then hang em high.
