I am all for the females to register with the draft and serve their country in a fighting roll beside our men. we are supposed to be a nation of equal rights for all and this should fall right in line with that equal pay for equal work right? this is the perfect example for that to followed but only reversed. sign em up ship em out

Women are already in a lot of roles that see combat. There are no front lines to speak of, just patrols. Does that mean women will be allowed in the Infantry or other closed positions?

Women should be required to register for the selective service just like men. If they are skilled and fit for combat they should be allowed to serve though I would segregate them at first so they prove themselves. It seems that every new thing has to be proven. Why not all, Black, all women, even all gay military units. None of the government services used to allow women. When I graduated from college with nearly a 4.0 my dearest dream was to be an FBI agent. But I was the wrong sex, then afterI graduated from law school I was too small, after my children were in school, I was too old. There's something wrong with this. These services have hired less qualifed people and not even given consideration to persons in artifically created categories. God gives each nation only so many good minds. The nation that survives is the one that uses them the best.

Each a mind to the mindset of a nation. Diverse to say the least lacking in uniformity and direction. Makes Bi-polars feel normal.

The girls finally given a chance to step up to the plate so those who wish to step up to that plate should be allowed to do so as the males were given that chance were they not and if equality is to be walked as well as talked then do so.

JROZIER...Military acts as the immune system protecting the body against that which may come at the body. Air Force, Navy, etc act as the body armor and are external while police, ambulance, firemen, etc act as the internal immune system. Developed for a reason and purpose and currently misguided.

    Go girls....

It is about time they allowed women in combat. They are already working for the police, fire, FBI ,secret service, DEA, and federal marshals. The only question I have is why women do not have to register with the selective service.

Why should women fight wars of men, this is stupid and a man of war should know that. Men start wars, kill innocent women and children during the war and now we want our women to fight our wars too, this is crazy. Women should not fight the wars of men because we can't find enough men willing to fight wars for the rich and greedy men whom gain from it. The rich men gain from war by selling missiles, tanks, guns and ammo to both sides in some or most cases, now we want to kill the very foundation of our civilization. War is something that should only be used when we are in imminent danger only. We could have been more successful if we just hired hit men to assassinate people like Bin-Laden, Saddam Husein and many others. Then it would be a lot less dead American Soldiers.

America from day one should have actively worked to place women in all key combat positions and in the front line of all middle east battles and wars.

America from the first year on should have created Muslim womens rescue centers for all women wanting to permanently leave their Muslim religion to seek and obtain safety in India or elsewhere. For those that do not know, a Muslim women leaving the Muslim religion to obtain womans rights and equality are under the penalty of death.
