Conan O'Brien follows one Twitter user at random

(CNN) – Ousted NBC host Conan O'Brien has been laying low since his short-lived Tonight Show gig ended in January. But he has popped up on Twitter @ConanOBrien and fans have flocked to the page. Conan's been having a little fun, too.

On Friday he tweeted this: "I've decided to follow someone at random. She likes peanut butter and gummy dinosaurs. Sarah Killen, your life is about to change."

After that, Sarah's Twitter account @LovelyButton exploded and she just broke 20,000 followers. She and her fiance, John Slowik, joined us on Wednesday's American Morning.

Conan is a ex-comedy writer who was unable to deliver his own written material as a host of a late night comedy show. After 99 hair jokes, the audience was no longer laughing about his constant reference to his hair, it was GROANING. Its sad to see someone DIE from lack of material, or lack of delivery. Nonetheless, Conan was dieing every night until he was permitted to trash the late night with Conan O'Brien show on his way out the door.

The loudest laughter that came from the small studio audience at Late Night with Conan O'Brien came when he performed a Face Plant on the stage floor during yet another messed up skit.

Perhaps now Conan O'Brien realizes, he never got up off the floor after his face plant.
