Fmr. Obama insider warns Dems of 'slaughter' at polls

(CNN) – Steve Hildebrand helped get President Obama in the White House. In a one-on-one with our Ed Henry, he said if Democrats don't deliver real political reform in Washington, they could get "slaughtered" in this year's midterm elections.

We wanted to talk to him some more about that warning. He joined our Kiran Chetry and Jim Acosta on Friday's American Morning.

We can stop the slaughter of Dems at poll. Get rid of our congressmen. Lie on the census, deflate the numbers, reduce numbers in districts owned by Republicans and lose representation, after all those representatives aren't voting for what we want anyway, only for what their Republican owners tell them to vote for, so we don't lose anything.

If the Democrats would put aside the "lattle differences" and stand UNITED behind the President on Healthcare and PASS or get the HC reform pkg through, done and passed, They will be HEROS vcome election time! It's about the every day people. NOT about the BIG Lobbyists, including Chamber of Commerce, SHAME! ON THEM!. Since when is the Chamber of Commerce simply Lobbyist for big business, including Insurane corp. They are supposed to protect the rights of the people. Where is their representation for small bussiness that cannot afford HC? One more thing Hey Democrats! GET UNIFIED for the People! The working class is getting screwed.

I agree with A. Smith 100%. And, D. Duffy, the Dems are trying, but your Republican Party is blocking every single thing they have tried to do to help the average American. They look out for the rich, while the rest of the country is going down the tube.

Until we fix our broken, corrupt system of funding elections through campaign contributions, we will never see reform in this country.

Most Americans are like sheep, and will be led over the cliff of status quo on health care. They are too blind to see that it is the multi-million dollar lobbying campaigns funded by the health care special interests that are feeding them their daily dose of right-wing propaganda.

By the way, how much better could our health care system be if the lobby money, which is paid for by the hard-earned premiums paid by Americans, was actually used to deliver health care?

But I guess that it is more important to maintain the extravagant lifestyles of the insurance and pharmaceutical executives, than it is to ensure that Americans have good health care. Americans will continue to receive an ever decreasing share of the “crumbs” from the tables of the elites, while believing that they are preserving their illusion of democracy.

BLAH, BLAH: Republicans, Democrats, are at fault depending on what party you back! BALONEY. If you really think that if the republicans will change things I really feel sorry for you. Do you think they will get us out of debt, change health care, all of a sudden jobs will appear and the wars will stop? It has taken us YEARS to get into this mess! Oh yes, lets not forget the fact that WE, the every day people, are at fault also! I still say it is time for US to take our country back from these "children" we have elected, throw them ALL out and start over. It is the only way WE will get the attention of our government and get them back to do what is in OUR best interests and not what they can put in their pockets!

Slaughter of the Dems is a nice way to put it.
Not only are they not fixing anything any intelligent person can see needs to be fixed, they are actually hurting America and every American in it.
They were elected to do what is best for the majority of Americans knowing we cannot satisfy everyone.
They have chosen to stick with their party rather than apply their God given common sense.

No money for States to have their current police departments. No money for States to have their current numbers of Public Schools.

These are among the many critical domestic areas which the horrific Bush-Cheney led Republican administration has gutted across America in order to fund the ever expanding US Military presence in well over 500 oversea military bases and to fight TWO wars in the Middle East at the same time.

All under the 'guise' of protecting American citizens? 2/3 of those 500+ US military bases are entirely not needed at this time and post cold-war era. Tens of thousands of American citizens are dieing every year from a lack of health care. Millions of American citizens are now unable to afford their extremely costly monthly medications.

Thousands of roads, public schools, fire departments, bridges, canals, dams, levees, harbors and freeways are severely dilapidated and now need expensive repairs or complete replacement in order to safely continue to operate. Those repair funds were gutted over the past 8 years by the Bush-Cheney horrific Republican administration and the funding was poured into the US Military under the threat of fear and in the guise of 'protecting America'.

Thanks entirely to the Republican lawmakers, many States are now teetering on the very bring of bankruptcy and an entire GENERATION of American students in higher education has been LOST.

The Republican Party has declared War on Americans, how are you going to respond? I suggest you respond by voting out every Republican lawmaker currently in office and voting against every Republican party member in Public, State and Federal contests.

I hope the house and senate does change hands. The democrats seem to be on the fast track to bankrupting our country. Their fundness for "creeping socolism" also has me greatly bothered.
