Our family removed my granson from school when he was 11, mercilously teased because of his small size and gluten-free diet.
Today he is six foot four tall, a brilliant honor student in college with 2 impressive research scolarships, and a life he loves. Bullying almost destroyed him as a child, and perhaps might eventually have as an adult.

Our family removed my grandson from school after we were diagnosed with Celiac Disease when he was about 11 and was mercilously teased about his gluten-free diet and his very small stature. He had also been diagnosed by a neuro-psychologist with mild autistic tendencyies. While scary and risky, this was the right decision. Today, at 25, he is 6'4" tall, an honor student in his Junion year at MSU College, with 2 impressive scolarships which will give him opportunities to do research.
