Can GOP embrace Tea Party movement?
(CNN) – It is the Tea Party's big day: Tax day. Today, there are more than 600 protests against big government spending scheduled across the country. The biggest one is in the nation's capital.
The Tea Party Express wrapping up its cross-country tour there after a stop at the site of the original tea party – Boston. The first lady of the movement, Sarah Palin, was there.
Slowly but surely, tea partiers and Republicans are forging ties, but some are skeptical. Our Jim Acosta has the report.

Anybody who believes the Tea Party is independent would, it seems, to be of the lower intellect. They are Republicans in every sense and explanation of who they are! The rich people in this country hate to pay taxes. This last line also describes most of the people who make up the Tea Party. My answer to help the Tea Party people pay lower taxes is-Move- to Africa or some country that doesn't pay taxes. Then they can run around yelling that their money is theirs–all theirs.
What? The Tea Party isn't already a GOP movement?
I can't help but notice Jim Acosta's love affair with the Tea Party. I wonder what would happen if you gave equal attention to Democratic fund raisers?
No. Silly me. That's not as "news worthy" as hearing Sarah Palin accuse President Obama of "violating the Constitution".
The Tea party is the GOP.
The GOP needs to keep there distance from Sara and find some new blood for 2012 .
you asked the wrong question. Its can we embrace the GOP. Understand we are a movement of the people. Not beholden to any party, race, creed, background, class etc. We stand for :
LIMITED govt (not no govt)
Fiscal responsibility( The gove cannot tax us to death or spend more than it recieves)
Free market, capitalist principals and the US constitution- W believe a man is entitled to the money HE earns ONLY. That the continuation of the expantion of govt, only serves to weaken liberty, and ourselves. We believe true charity comes from the individuals heart, and mind. The theft of money from us in the form of 'taxes' and other terms is tantemount to EXTORTION.
We believe that individuals have the right to PURSUE happiness, Not a garuntee of end results. We believe we are responsible for our own choices(good or bad) and have NO RIGHT to demand others support us when we fail or take from others when they succeed.
We believe in STRONG national defense, respect for our boarders, and the GOD GIVEN right to defend ourselves!.
There are more. But if if the GOP can get behind us on these core principals they are welcome. If democrats can do it. They are welcome! If black white male female, anyone can get behind these core principals,.,..they are welcome!
Its us you have to impress peole,.,..NOT the otherway around
