(CNN) – Florida Gov. Charlie Crist has until the end of the week to decide whether to drop the Republican Party and run as an independent in the race for Senate. Time is not on his side and neither are some GOP leaders who are threatening to pull their support from the one-time party favorite. Our John Zarrella has the report.

It will be interesting to see which party Christ will caucus with if he wins the Senate race!!!
Although I don't live in Florida I would hope that Christ will run as an independent for the senate. As the Republican party swings to the right to appease the tea party and other hard core elements. he has the courage to do what is right for the people of Fla and is not trapped by ideology as Rubbio will be. We live in a turbulent time and leaders need to be flexible and adapt to a changing world, rather than to try to make the world conform to what they think.
Good luck Charlie!!
By vetoing SB.6, Crist proved he was a servant of the PEOPLE, not the PARTY. Most of the far Right luminaries decrying him vetoing the bill had already thrown their support behind the ex-lobbyist Tea Party minion Rubio, anyway.
I'm a Democrat, and will vote for Crist even if I have to jump parties to help him with the Primary as a Republican.
CHARLIE..RUN!!!
FLORIDA NEEDS YOU!
Run, Charlie, Run.
RUN AS AN INDEPENDENT CHARLIE! WE HAVE YOUR BACK!
Can he win it would all depend on the chad's .
