Conan O'Brien speaks out about Jay Leno

(CNN) – Conan O'Brien and Jay Leno shared the spotlight again this weekend. Leno headlined the White House Correspondents dinner and Conan appeared on CBS's "60 minutes" in his first interview since a messy split from NBC in January.

He was asked if he thought Jay Leno acted "honorably" in taking back "The Tonight Show." Conan said he couldn't answer that, but his feelings seemed clear.

Conan walked away with $10-million dollars because his contract was violated. End of story!

What bothers me the most is how some people will allow a popularity bias to over shadow reality. So what that he walked away with whatever sum of money, it is not like he stole it. I suppose Jay proved he could not survive on his own without "The Tonight Show." So much for venturing out, and not crawling back into the comfort zone.

I'm sure Conan's pride was hurt but he walked away with a $10-million severence package. Maybe Jay was mean to him but $10-mil will buy a lot of band-aids for his psychic boo-boos. So cry-me-a-river and re-invent yourself like millions of Americans are having to do these days without that kind of financial cushion. And stop wasting valuable news time.
