BP COO: 'Lots of things will change'

(CNN) – It's day 46 of the oil disaster in the Gulf. Late last night, BP got the containment cap in place on the broken well. So has this fix finally worked? And what comes next in BP's plan? Doug Suttles, chief operating officer for BP, joined us on Friday's American Morning.

I am becoming sickened, but not by the oil crisis. Right now, Anderson Cooper is spewing negative propaganda about BP like it's a fact on the tv in the next room. His negative comments, interspersed with negative personal comments and opinions, are pushing me to dismiss CNN as a competent and impartial news organization. If you disgree, just listen to Kira Phillips in the morning as well.

Maybe my high school math is a little rusty but ….. If the original leak is represent by X gallons per day. After the broken pipe was cut off the spill flow rate went up 20%. That would be X+20% . BP now say that they are capturing about 30% of the flow... Therefore X+20% – X-30 % = X -10%. Depending on what the original value of X is, we still have thousands of gallons of oil spilling into the Gulf. Is a success? Denial is not just a river in Egypt !

I sent the message below to BP 5 days ago. I wonder if I will ever receive and answer form them? Perhaps it is not complicate enough

Fabricate a modified top flange assembly for the top part of the flange on the blow out preventer. This fabrication would contain a shut off valve. Remove the damaged top flange and pipe and replace with the modified top flange which contains the shut off valve. Leave the valve in the open position until flange is bolted down and sealed.

I was horrified and disgusted to see CNN run BP's propaganda commercial. This flagrant display of self-promotion is dishonest and offends the memory of the men who died in the "accident" and insults the intelligence of the millions of people whose lives are being systematically destroyed by BP's failure to do the things they claim to be doing in their commercial. I am in New Orleans and we see the reality every day. BP is not telling the truth and I ask CNN to stop running this commercial.

No matter what they do, they will never restore the coastline or gulf to its original state, and no one in the south will ever trust them again.
