Some may think that she should apologize. I do not know. However unpopular her statement was, she still had a right to say it. 1st Amendment I think.... Unless of course, she so stated that in a foreign country where you do not have the right to express your unpopular opinion. kw

Thank John Roberts for asking Arnie Duncan the right question about the kids in Kalamazoo. Sure the school is a success story but it's an affluent area that those kids would have done well in no matter what.

CNN*********There is a school here in South Florida called
SUNCOAST HIGH SCHOOL. If President Obama really wants to recognize schools that are TRULY EXCEPTIONAL then he needs to visit SUNCOAST HIGH SCHOOL IN RIVIERA BCH. , FL. That's right. Next to Palm Beach, SHS is located smack dab in the GHETTO.

Why is this a story? Because SHS is the #7 High School in the entire UNITED STATES according the US news and World Report. Please CNN.....let's recognize these kids whom many have NOTHING but hope that their education will take them out of their circumstances. SHS sends students to MIT, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Northwestern, Duke and on and on and on. No giant slush fund here. Just hard working students that need to be recognized.

I do not care how long that Helen Thomas has been around for, her comment about the Jews was completely out of bounds and it was highly inappropriate in my opinion. I think that Helen Thomas should be forced to either publicly apologize for what she said or she should be fired from her position. A written statement on her website is not good enough, her apology needs to be said in public before all of the television cameras on every network. If Helen Thomas will not sincerely apologize for what she said in public, then she definitely does not deserve to be in The White House Press Corps!
