(CNN) – The images of the oil gusher below the Gulf are stunning, but to get a real perspective on the spill you have to see it from above. Hundreds of boats, miles of boom, pools of oil, and fire on the water. Our Rob Marciano went up with the Coast Guard for a look at the Gulf oil spill that you can only see here.

I've been viewing the complaints on CNN made by Louisiana residents about the President stopping offshore oil drilling. As a Florida resident, I appreciate the President having a national view on this tragic incident and stopping offshore drilling until it can be fully investigated. Sadly enough, this tragic incident not only affects the livelihoods of those in Louisiana working for the oil industry, but also those of us in the other Gulf states who depend on the tourist industry. Whether this incident proves to be human or technical error or both, it is obvious that the oil industry has no safeguards in place to handle an accident of this type and/or magnitude! Not stopping offshore drilling until this situation can be fully investigated would be an act of negligence on the part of our government. Thanks, Mr. President!!!
Re: Christian school teacher
Give us all a break. She was well aware of the moral requirements while teaching at the school! Why would she inform them of her "pregnancy before marriage" It makes me wonder about her mental accuity?or perhaps an even more sinister motive of a lawsuit!
BP needs to hire (more) employees. This should be our lucky day here in America: a rich employer who can afford to hire hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of people right now, and with enough work for everyone! Put people to work (reduce unemployment.)
It's a win-win.
BP should fly people to the scene, house them in tents (with disclaimers, of course), feed them fruit, vegs. and pasta, and get us off unemployment.
Plead to BP: I love wildlife, I'm smart, hard-working; just need a ride and cheap housing. I'm too poor to take vacation, but fly me down, stick me in a tent and I will help clean-up oil soaked animals with enthusiasm and compassion
It's obvious that BP's plan is to down play the situation as it continues to hit the coast, in hopes the public will become infuriated and decide to volunteer their time and efforts in a last ditch effort to save the coast line. This would save BP and the Government mucho dollars!!!
