Teen caught in flood tells of fight for life

(CNN) – It was a dramatic scene captured on tape as Oklahoma City was hit by flash floods yesterday. 17-year-old Raquel Dawson was caught in the current and clinging to tree limbs for dear life to keep from being swept away. After a first attempt failed, she was finally rescued. She joined us on Tuesday's American Morning along with two of her rescuers, firefighters Mark Edwards and Josh Pearcy.

Well, Bruce, this so happens to be my cousin and the underlying story is very important. This is what happens daily. People don't have to die to make news. There are floods effecting everyone and she tried to help another lady. So just because you don't think it is important to you, does not mean its not important. Let CNN do their job. Thank you. And I love you Raquel, you're a sweetheart and everyone appreciates what you did out there. You were thinking of others.

You people at cnn make such a big deal out of nothing. Any person that had any ability to swim was not going to die. Why not report some real news as hundreds of people are dying every minute world wide.
And please, enought about the guy stageing his own war. You people at cnn always blow everything out of proportion. One more thing, can anyone at cnn give the news without giving us thier opinions. I don't care what you news people think about every bit of news. Just the facts, I'll make my own conclusions.
