Town builds iron curtain to keep oil out of river

(CNN) – One town along the Alabama coast is running out of time. They say the river that runs through their town like an artery is their lifeblood. If the oil gets in it will literally be in people's backyards, so the community decided not to wait. Our Mary Snow has their story.

The American people should demand more action. Money is no object for BP. Two billion is a drop in the bucket for them! Not enough is being done! Everything should go on BP’s tab: Professionals from all over the country should be flown in to assist in the rescuing of birds and other wildlife. An all out emergency clean up effort should be in effect around the clock while they are working to stop the flow of oil. I keep hearing about the delays and red tape. No excuses should be tolerated. If BP is still in business when this is over, there is something wrong.
