Lawyer: MJ doc didn't give overdose

By Ted Rowlands, CNN

(CNN) – Michael Jackson's last physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, wasn't the one who gave the pop star a fatal overdose of propofol, according to Murray's attorney, hinting at the defense strategy in the involuntary manslaughter case against his client.

"The fact (of the way) that he died was a mystery a year ago, and still is," Houston attorney Ed Chernoff told CNN in an exclusive interview recently.

The Los Angeles County coroner ruled that Jackson's June 25, 2009, death was from an overdose of propofol, a powerful anesthesia used to put surgical patients to sleep. Watch Video

I still retain much anger on the memory of this self inflicted freak of Frankenstein never content with who or what gender he was. Sad this person became an example of what NOT to be confusing many young lives. Although his music great, this life of perversion infected many young lives, makes me ask......"Who should care" ?

Propofol has an extremely short half life and almost immediately degrades in the body into inert compounds. It would be almost impossible to determine the actual amount of Propofol that had been recently administered by Michael Jackson himself or with the assistance of Dr. Conrad Murray hours later, much less during an autopsy days later.

There seems to be little question that Micheal Jackson had ordered and requested injections of Propofol from many physicians other than Dr. Conrad Murray previously, tests for inert compounds common to Propofol would certainly only indicate Micheal Jackson was previously given or injecting himself with that drug.

I look forward to a spirited and aggressive defense of Dr. Conrad Murray who has been repeatedly slandered and vilified by the Jackson family and the Media. I'm hopeful the scope and nature of Micheal Jackson's alleged drug abuse and dependence is given and proven in public court testimony.

Dr. Conrad Murray and his team of attorneys should slap libel and slander charges against Joe Jackson and the Jackson family and sue them for many millions of dollars in court after they deal with this criminal case against Dr. Conrad Murray.

The extremely short half-life of the Rx propofol would make it nearly impossible to determine how much or how little was given after a very short period of time. Existing statements indicate that Micheal Jackson had been demanding Rx propofol on a near daily basis for a very long time, long before Dr. Murray ever became his personal physician.

I'm certain Dr. Murray's attorneys have a ton of very disparaging information about Micheal Jackson's drug and personal habits which Joe Jackson and the entire pack of Jackson's won't want to hear and will regret being published as a result of bringing Dr. Murray to trial.

Michael may have turned up the dosage his own self but the fact remains that drug should not have been there in the first place .
