Not long ago, it appeared that we, as a nation, were overcoming racial hatred in our midst. But, the latest stories on the Tea Party and now Shirley Sherrod prove that their is still work to be done.
Hatred of people of another color, as well as hatred of women or hatred of strangers, brings society to a lowly place. It sets people apart and is a source of causeless animosity and violence.
We must struggle and fight for as long as it takes to eradicate this scourge from within us. We are taught to love our neighbor as ourselves. We need to put this saying into practice.

I am totally shocked by mitch mconnells statements on Candys show yesterday first after he rubber stamped everyone of George Bushes stimulator checks he mailed, supported rebuilding oil rich iraq. He totally supported nafta an the Chinese trade agreements which has sent 30 mill jobs overseas. He even supported bank bailouts an wall street bailouts wants no reform to wall street either. Him an George Bush spent us from a surplus to owing 12 trillion that he blames on Obama who has only barely been in office. OL RICH MITCH cant support unemployment extensions with trade agreements the way they are how does he expect to us get any jobs here. Way to go mitch kids all over america starving while you play games WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN MITCH STEAL CANDY FROM BABIES CANES FROM OL LADIES WOW SIGNED JOE THE TINNER
