(CNN) – With unemployment hovering near 10% nationwide, plenty of immigrants, both legal and illegal, are among the millions coast-to-coast having trouble finding work. As such, many are trying to return to their native countries to search for jobs, but some are finding that can be easier said than done. Soledad O'Brien, special correspondent for CNN's "In America" documentary series, introduces us to one family stuck in the United States.

The answer is simple.
We are a nation of laws and all laws must be enforced.
Every state needs to adopt the same law and force the Federal government to
fulfil their lawful responsibilities.
Illegals need to go back to Mexico or elsewhere.
The issue with Mexico is that they do not want their citizens back. Their
country is receiving more income with their illegals working here and sending
the money home while making no demands for goods and services. If 12 million or
more people return to Mexico-where will they work? What services will they
consume? What will be the impact on the corrupt Mexican Government?
After living the "good life" in America, do you really think the illegals will
be very happy returning to Mexico at their own expense??–
how hypocritical of mexico for calling us racists for doing exactly what they do to illegal trespassers.... actually we just send them home mexico tosses them in jail...... you tell me which you'd rather have???
No sympathy. They should not have been here in the first place.

Don't get the two mixed up. If all illegals were gone there would be jobs for Citizens and Legal Immigrants. Time for the tit to run dry for the leeches."
Great post, I agree with you 100%.
Don't get the two mixed up. If all illegals were gone there would be jobs for Citizens and Legal Immigrants. Time for the tit to run dry for the leeches.
Did he pay his hospital bill and back taxes from his good job? My, I am living in a dream world.
"Illegal" immigrants violate administrative law, punishable by deportation, by crossing our border illegally. They violate criminal law, punishable by imprisonment, fine, and/or deportation, by purchasing or stealing "illegal" S.S. numbers to get work. I don't feel sorry for these "illegal" families. This guy overstayed his VISA. He broke the law. He is going to have to pay a penalty. He has been in our country "illegally" for 13 years stealing American jobs. Now the well has run dry and he wants to go home but he has no money. It's a wonder that he hasn't collected unemployment compensation like so many other "illegals" have done. And you and the Obumma administration believe that these "illegal" aliens want a path to U.S. citizenship? What a self centered arrogant attitude. These people come to this country to get what they can and when the going gets tough they get going back to where they came from. Any penalties or fines that they have incurred are just part of being here illegally. You don't want to be here and America does not want you here. Contrary to the propaganda that is being spread by Obumma and the news media, Mexican Americans don't want these people here either. So much for the Hispanic vote. You overstayed your VISA. You broke the law. Pay the fine and/or the time and go home where you belong.
boo hoo. You are illegal. Face the music.
This story makes me sick. Illegal immigrants breached America's international security, broke over 30 laws of at least two countries to cross into America. But now, they say they can't go home because they will have to break laws in Mexico, which has severe penalties, that they enforce, even against Americans, and other countries for entering them illegally.
What a double standard, this man and his family should be deported, and face prosecution for the laws they broke here in America.
Americans of all race, creed, and color are pursecuted, and prosecuted through American law, and we must pay fines, and legal fees, and face the conquences of our actions.
Just look at how many Americans are in prisons for minor criminal offenses. Look at how many billions of dollars by prosecuting Americans pours into our city, county, and state budgets.
Why should Americans be the only ones to pay for breaking American laws, while the biggest criminal base in America, and National threat, illegal aliens, who are not immigrants, go unpunished?
Now there is something I'm willing to put my tax dollars to. Document those that are being returned to their country of origin that way we can be able to track repeat offenders that are abusing our good will to get these people out of our country. We don't need to fine them, we don't need to jail them or do anything else that will cost the tax payers any more money. Heck if someone left of their own will I'd even pat them on the head and give them a sucker for being such good little boys and girls.
I feel bad for those LEGAL immigrants that came here legally and now are struggling to find work or ride home.
But I have little compassion for illegals trying to steal another job from an American or LEGAL immigrants.
The idea that a Illegal cant find a ride home is @#$, just contact ICE and you can a free ride home thanks to the United States Citizens and legal immigrants.
