I am the father of a US serviceman now serving in the 2-502 Infantry Regiment 101st Airborne (air-Assault) Howz-E Madad Zhari district Kandahar. They just started a major offensive to take back control of this section of Kandahar. I cannot understand why all the main stream media continue to ignore the these fine men and women serving our country. If there is a news story it usually is on the back page or middle of a newspaper. I don't see any coverage on my local ( New York Area) television news stations. That is why I tune in to CNN they are the only ones that might give you a little bit of news on the war. I can only take this as America has lost interest or don't care enough to cover there story and sacrifices being made every day. This is a sad day for America. I do look on the Internet and find news about whats going on over there that is how I know about the latest push which started Sept. 15. If it wasn't for this I wouldn't have any news because they are on lockdown all the time over there. (that is when there is casualties they want to notify the families first so we get no correspondence whith our loved ones serving over there.
Well I was just watching the news (CNN) and you mentioned your blog so for the first time I sent in my two cents.
