Marie Claire.com writer, Maura Kelly wrote a piece titled “Should "Fatties" Get a Room? (Even on TV?).” She was talking about the sitcom "Mike and Molly" and said the sitcom was "promoting obesity." The magazine got over 30,000 responses to the post. Kelly has since updated her post to apologize and admit that she had her own issues with anorexia and life long obsession with being thin. The magazine's editor-in-chief, Joanna Coles, has also spoken out on the controversy.
