ronvan, that may be true, but had the president went in slapping the other 'elected children' around and forcing them to come together, the media, the teabaggers and the majority of the others that are claiming to be part of the family of 'we the people would have started screaming TYRANNY! Obama would have certainly been subjected to even more hate, threats and disdain! Furthermore, he would've had to go in, locking up all of those lying, fearmongering, money hungry war criminals of the last administration!

The democrates have done this to themselves! They had the power and opportunity but could not come together! Now many think that by throwing them out and putting republicans in that there will be changes? DON'T hold your breath! Does a snake slitter on the ground? Do zebras have stripes? Do you really think that the republicans are going to change? And don't blame the president, whatever party he/she belongs to. The president is only a figurehead with limited power. What we need today is a president who can slap the heck out of the other "elected children" and force them to come together to actually help "WE the people", instead of trying to line their pockets.

I am neither Democrat nor Republican; however, I can tell you this as a tax paying American citizen: NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, will get done in the next 2 years for the American people.
It will be the same old "blaming the other side" scenerio.
Does anyone disagree with me?

This is, hopefully, just the first shot. For to long the middle of the roaders, have kept their mouth shut, fearing being call out. Demos and Reps. better both recognize their are a whole bunch of us who do not like what DC does and will not stand for some leftist fantasy government.
Could not get Reid out this time but there will be another election. As for the President, media says he will begin to be the "international" pres because that is what they do when they CANNOT pass national agendas. As for his chance of re-election, we will see but now we know what he looks like after elected, not the same guy who wanted our votes. Two-faced will not cut it for president, I hope.
Suggest everyone open their ears, change or get out, The things America wants are not limited to NY and CA. GET IT.

A win is a win, however keep in mind voter anger was the motivatiion, not a rejection of the President's policies. Default is not something to get excited about. Compromise will now play an important role in the next two years. At that time we will see who gets fired. Chances are it will be the current President who returns for a second term. Not the GOP, nor the Tea Party.

Who knows, maybe I will run for Congress myself.
