Lewis Black on politics, Christmas, CNN graphics

Finally, we're all getting a break from the midterm election madness. As John Roberts said this morning, you can tell just how crazy this campaign season has been by the number of veins bulging out of Lewis Black's head.

Comedian Lewis Black joined John and Kiran on American Morning today to talk about his new book "I'm Dreaming of a Black Christmas."

Make sure you watch through to the end for his special commentary on CNN's on-air look.

Great suggestion, Julie! I do so believe that the DEMS would at least consider it, if the idea ended up in their 'SUGGESTION BOX', but I wonder woud Boehner, McConnell, McCain and the rest of The Party Of NO go for it. NO! NO! NO! 'HELL NO THEY WON'T'!.

He is funny. "turn off the air and make them sweat". Lock them in there until they get along. Good one.
They want to shrink the government and make it smaller.

    1. All Congressmen, Representatives, Mayors, and Senators, fly only Commercial planes at their expense, brown bag all meals..
2.Park Air Force ! for only emergencies or summits. They can use skype like the rest of us.
    3. Fine all polliticians $5,000 for any votes they do not make, or show up to..
    4. Cut all retirement benefits for any politician. Make them pay for their own across state lines health insurance.
    5. Tax 50% all political contributions.
    6. What would completey erase the deficiet is Pay toilets at every Government building.
    .$5.00 a visit.
    7. Any candidate, or politician caught in out and out lie. Fine $10,000.
    8. Hire the rest of us to watch dog them. That should be enough jobs for bunches of flolks.

This should erase the deficiet in probably matter of months, AND, YOU ALREADY KNOW WHY....

Black is absolutely correct that the CNN graphics at the bottom of the screen are useless, unneeded, and a huge distraction. In fact they often cover up important visual information.

CNN should take a hared look at the frustration that we all feel about this.
