Lewis Black on politics, Christmas, CNN graphics

Finally, we're all getting a break from the midterm election madness. As John Roberts said this morning, you can tell just how crazy this campaign season has been by the number of veins bulging out of Lewis Black's head.

Comedian Lewis Black joined John and Kiran on American Morning today to talk about his new book "I'm Dreaming of a Black Christmas."

Make sure you watch through to the end for his special commentary on CNN's on-air look.

Great suggestion, Julie! I do so believe that the DEMS would at least consider it, if the idea ended up in their 'SUGGESTION BOX', but I wonder woud Boehner, McConnell, McCain and the rest of The Party Of NO go for it. NO! NO! NO! 'HELL NO THEY WON'T'!.

Black is absolutely correct that the CNN graphics at the bottom of the screen are useless, unneeded, and a huge distraction. In fact they often cover up important visual information.

CNN should take a hared look at the frustration that we all feel about this.
