‘Mama Grizzly’ meets real bears in first episode of TLC series

Is it reality TV worth watching or just one big campaign ad?

Sarah Palin’s new reality TV series "Sarah Palin's Alaska" premiered Sunday night on TLC. The series, which features Palin and her family in their home setting in Alaska, has both political and entertainment commentators buzzing this morning.

Brian Stelter, media reporter for the New York Times, and Shushannah Walshe, Daily Beast writer and co-author, Sarah From Alaska, talk to AM’s Carol Costello this morning about the show.

Yeah... we need highly educated and intelligent people to run the country – such as one that spells trys instead of tries as it should be – oh lead us dumb ones out of the darkness and show us the way.

Certainly Sarah Palin couldn't possibly be any worse than Barry Obama.

This is obviously a carefully 'scripted' view of the Palins. I can only imagine the contract negotians with Discovery, Palin demanding final approval on all of the campaign ads....umm....television shows before airing. Its a great travel brochure for Alaska if you look past the annoying Palins and annoying voices. (where DID Sarah get the accent and nasal mode of talking? never heard anyone else from AK with a mid-western twang) I am no Palin fan (although initially excited about a woman being selected, then I heard what she had to say...ouch), but even my conservative GOP friends find her extremely annoying in person. Next time she runs for something, Discovery will have to give equal time to other candidates. Why anyone would vote for such a quitter who abandoned her responsibilities 'better than sitting in some stuffy political office' and would probably get bored again. ADD???

The chefs on Top Chef are professionals; not wannabes.

I prefer to watch the National Geographic Channel. I don't watch ignorant hillbillies.

Her show sucks, after hearing her whiney voice, I turned back to the football game. If I want a good documentary on alaska; I'll watch the national geographic channel.

Seriously my fellow Americans, there is no way we are to elect a person because they have a good reality show. The Presidency is a little more serious that this. To Vernon......do you think those cameras just happen to be there? Why aren't there any other people in the camera lens, do only the Palins' enjoy Alaska. This woman is a joke. We need an intellegent person that understands economics to run this country. Now that the republicans will block Obama on anything he trys to do, I don't think we should vote for another republican. They do not move this country forward. WE NEED A LEADER!!! Palin may be a good mother and wife, but I don't think she can run the largest country in the free world.

FYI: John mentioned this A.M. than Nancy Pelsoi would not be on a reality show. She made an appearance on Top Chef Washington.

The Palins are a bunch of uncultured country bumpkins hillbillies. They have no Ivy League college education, no social class, no taste of fine things in life, no decent family pedigree.

People like us are highly educated, highly cultured, highly developed, well-born, well-bred and well-nurtured should never be allowed to be led by trash like those country bumpkin hillbillies. America is the land Of the Best, By the Best, and For the Best. We are simply the Best and those filthy trash like the Palins are simply the worst.

America has become such a great country because we have never allowed stinking trash like those Wasilly Hillbilly ever become our master. Like those civilised Indians who keep those disgusting Untouchables subhumans at the bottom of the society and those finest Europeans who leash those filthy Gypsies freaks to the dog-pole, we should suppress those undesirable Hillbillies at the very bottom of our feet forever. Low-life Hillbillies like the Palins are only worthy to clean my toilets and polish me loos.

    What a great family.
WHat a great couple of weeks… Elections… Bristol on DWTS… Pres Bush’s book is great and the interviews he is doing are fantastic….Now Sarah Palin’s show.
The best part is that they are paying Her 1 million per episode, for basically a series of beautiful campaign ads. Who ever heard of a politician being paid to run a campaign….LOL

All while.. Bambam….. spends a fortune to look like a the dope we know he is, in front of the entire whole world.

This is not a reality show. Only city slickers that have never been in the country would think this is put on. That's just the type of things you experience while living in the country. Sarah Palin is promoting Alaska in this show. There is no put on like you have in reality shows.
