Tea Party favorite tapped to lead freshman class

Freshman Rep.-elect Kristi Noem, R, SD, hasn’t even been sworn into the 112th Congress, but she is already set to lead her fellow freshman representatives.

Noem and Rep.-elect Tim Scott, R, SC, were tapped Wednesday as Freshman Leadership Representatives, a position created this year. They will essentially serve as liaisons between the newly elected members and the House leaders.

This morning, Noem talks to AM’s John Roberts about her plans for the position and how she’ll work with Democrats. And, she addresses her association with the Tea Party, who supported her candidacy.

Its laughable that Rep. Noem touts cutting the federal deficit as well as cutting the size of the federal government when her "farm" that she owns has received over $3.1 MILLION in farm subsidies (welfare) from that same federal government (taxpayers) since 1995. Same ole banter different mouth.... cut that government welfare for the other guy but not mine! I "deserve/earned" my government welfare check!! Walk the Walk if your going to Talk the Talk!! Not to mention the 20 speeding tickets, failure to appear in court and 2 arrest warrants she has been issued with.
