Prince William, Kate to wed at Westminster Abbey in April

(CNN) Prince William of England will marry Kate Middleton on April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London, the royal family announced today, ending a week of furious speculation about the date and venue.
Prince William gave Diana's sapphire-and-diamond engagement ring to his fiancee when he proposed during a vacation in Kenya last month. The prince and Middleton, both 28, have been dating since 2003.

Royal biographer Mark Saunders talks to AM's Kiran Chetry and John Roberts this morning. He explains why he thinks Westminster Abbey is probably "the better venue."

Nobody in their right mind cares about the 'royals" just because they are the 'royals". I still can't figure out why Americans are fascinated by this when the british people don't even like them and would like to see them eliminated.

Who cares about the wedding. They are human beings like everyone else. Give it a break.
