Rep. Peter King (R-NY) will be holding Congressional hearings on home-grown terrorism Thursday, but critics say the hearings are putting Islam on trial.
Rep. King says, he wants Americans "to realize the extent to which Al Qaeda is attempting to radicalize within the Muslim-American community" and also says he "the overwhelming majority of Muslims are outstanding patriots".
CNN's T.J. Holmes talks to Rep. King about the hearings.

I have said, and continue to say that the Muslim people have NOT shown ANY aggressive action to show ME, that they are trying to police their own. They, more than anyone else know what is going on with their people and it is they that should be taking action. I also
STRONGLY agree that not all Muslims are "so called" bad. Their
history, religion, etc., MUST be understood and accepted along with other religions. SO, I must disagree with this "board" thing, it will not accomplish anything except to become a political circus like all the rest and will more than likely create more problems than we need.
If Mr. King is genuinely concerned with the process of radicalization process of Americans, he could transfer everything he learned over his long association with the IRA.
His rationale that the IRA never attacked America rings pretty hollow. Perhaps he could go back a bit and take a look at the Fenians who raided for many years along the Niagara border with Canada.
