Are concerns over radiation in the U.S. valid?

As workers were evacuated from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant in Japan due to spiking radiation levels, some Americans are becoming concerned over whether the radiation could travel to the United States.

Dr. James Thrall, Radiologist-in-Chief at Massachusetts General Hospital, talks to Kiran Chetry about the hazards of the radiation in Japan and also speaks to whether there is any possible radiation threat in the U.S.

Thank you Jane. I think the job of 24 hour news now is drama. They think in order to get viewers they have to be dramatic. And now those great supporters of the middle class want to eliminate unions. CNN tries to appear neutral by getting a Democratic and Republican view. I love this question how do you think Obama is doing on something like we do not know how the Republican and Democrat are going to answer that question. There are facts out there. There is truth. But when it comes to unions, teachers, our education they do not seek facts, health care, Obama's birth etc. Fact teachers do not go into teaching because of the money and because of those benefits they make less pay. I was a chemist who if I wanted to make a lot of money would have become a legal drug sales person, that was a big money option for me. But I was raised to have such respect for educators, and being an idealist I went into education. I wanted to give back to society. We do not have respect for educators in this country that is why I retired after 20 years. And because of all the criticism I would not go into it today. Don't you think all that criticism of teachers is heard by the students and that effects what happens in the classroom. There is not the respect that I was brought up with. Why doesn't some reporter look at the money that is used for all that administration of education. Superintendent could be making 5 times more than teachers. There are many towns where teachers are not making much and have no benefits or very little. You keep emphasizing the cities or the teachers where the money is descent and the union is strong not the majority. I could go on. Why don't you do some real reporting and look into what is really causing the problems in education.
