For more than 50 years, Fortune Magazine has been ranking America's biggest corporations. The Fortune 500 is more than just a list, it's a symbol for money, power and prestige.

Topping this list for the second year in a row is Wal-Mart. Also on the list are a number of oil companies, including ConocoPhillips and Exxon Mobil, the government-owned finance company Fannie Mae and Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway. Here's the entire top 10 list:

Exxon Mobil
Fannie Mae
General Electric
Berkshire Hathaway
General Motors
Bank of America
Ford Motor

Leigh Gallagher, Fortune's Assistant Managing Editor, talks to American Morning about which companies made this year's list.
