Man tries to outrun the tornado, lands right in the middle of it

Will Lynch and his girlfriend were trying to get out of town before the tornado hit and instead wound up right in the middle of it. Not being able to recognize where he was by all of the destruction, his truck was picked up by the tornado and landed on another vehicle.

American Morning gets his story of survival.

    Catcher,

If you think slider's statement about much of this country being in ruins is not accurate, you clearly have not been paying attention to the news.

We have major flooding all over the country, the state of Texas was on fire, the tornado in Joplin, budget crises, and I can go on.

Don't try to downplay the sad state of affirs the US is in right now because it makes you look like an Obama fanboy that cares more about the guys image than reality.

Lucky duck now you can see why one is to lay on the ground not be 3ft in the air (truck cabin.) So you may not get sucked up in the tornado.

It's not the presidents job to grab a shovel and hit the highway. In fact Joplin disaster officals have turned away hundreds because they are not qualified. There have been elderly, people with grade school age children and unfit people come to help. Its great people volunteer. Yet there is nothing for them to do. Do you really want a 14 year old helping search for bodies in a disaster zone. Professional search and rescue teams are on site, working in grids. Disaster specialist, Local, County, State and federal officals are there. And there is an established procedure for executing. BTW a nearby city was destroyed and George Bush waited 5 days to go. Another nearby city was destroyed and he waited 9 days to go. Slider your are a very confused human. Stop listening to hate radio. Stop letting a political party control you with Fear and Hate.

Dubya would have been up in Air Force 1 circling the North Pole so that mean ol' tornado wouldn't get him. Can't say for sure, but my money is on Obama not running like a scared draft dodging Bush if we had another 9/11esque crisis.

Slider, it's not the President's job to fix the country. He runs the freakin military. People need to stop paying attention to the Bush/Obama elections and blaming them for our countries problems and start paying attention to who they elect as Representatives and Senators.. Go back to school.

Yes the presidents job is to micro-manage every single thing in this country. What exactly do you expect him to do that isn't already being done by local, county, and state emergency services, the governor and the national guard?

everything the President does is under scrutiny! i'm sure he couldnt have predicted the tornado was coming. no one complained about all the things Bush did! Bush left hundreds of people to rott and die in New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina hit and the levie broke in 2005. where we all the complains about him!!!

instead of complaining, why not help the people of Joplin. get off your high horse "slider", find someone else to talk about. quit trying to tear this Nation apart, when there is truly so much more to focus on.

AND to ALL the people who have lived thru and been affected by this devastation (including me), i will keep you and your familys in my prayers!!

    good luck and God bless!

Hey, Slider, what's your point? Do you think he should be here searching for the missing? And seriously, "much of the country is in ruins" is just a little too much hyperbole, don't you think?

He was running for his life while Obama was in Ireland playing ping pong. Much of the country is in ruins and the Pres goes to Ireland to visit relatives and pretend he is Irish.
