New reports: ADHD and Autism on the rise

Director of the CDC's National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities, Dr. Coleen Boyle talks about new reports saying that there has been a 17% increase on children and teens in the U.S. with developmental disabilities such as ADHD and Autism.

She speaks about the possible causes in the rise in her interview with American Morning's Kiran Chetry.

Death toll of Joplin tornado rising

Sheriff Archie Dunn of Jasper County Missouri gives us the latest update on the recovery efforts in Joplin. Dunn speaks about the dangers of the current wreckage and how residents can move on.

So far 17 people have been rescued from the rubble but as of Tuesday morning the death toll still stands at 117.

Missouri Governor talks about where the community goes from here

The Governor of Missouri, Jay Nixon talks to Ali Velshi about where the community goes from here and how he plans to rebuild after nearly 30% of the town is destroyed.

There are a thousand first responders from throughout the state but the weather is hampering search and rescue efforts. Two responders have been struck by lightening.

Approximately 1,500 people still unaccounted for after tornado

Keith Stammer, Emergency Management Director for Jasper County talks about the difficulties of the search and rescue process during extreme weather.

17 people have been recovered from the rubble but Stammer says approximately 1,500 still remain unaccounted for.

Search and rescue not an easy task with extreme weather

FEMA Director, Craig Fugate talks about how they are going to handle the most recent tornado also coupled with the other recent disasters they are still responding to.

There have already been 117 deaths from this tornado alone and that number is likely to rise.

Couple and their child seek shelter from deadly tornado, in their bathroom

One family tells their story of surviving the tornado by staying in their bathroom.

Rachael Neff and finance Zac Bronson woke up to tornado sirens, decided to huddle in their bathroom, when the storm died down, they realized the bathroom was the only room left of their house. Ali Velshi gets their dramatic story.
